Job Summary
ORF America is seeking a full-time Program Coordinator to provide programmatic, administrative, and research support on contemporary international affairs related to Latin America. The successful candidate will serve as lead coordinator for programming in Latin America. In this capacity, the Program Coordinator will assist with program and event management, fundraising, budget tracking, communications, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders; and support day-to-day activities of the Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer. This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer and offers the opportunity to play a key role in coordinating the international activities for ORF America in the Western Hemisphere. The Program Coordinator will work closely with colleagues in Washington, D.C., as well as colleagues at ORF’s other centers in India and the United Arab Emirates. Successful candidates should have professional fluency in Spanish and will be expected to work in diverse environments in several countries.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Manage the preparation and execution of events in Washington D.C. and Latin America (roundtables, high-level dialogues, and virtual meetings) including preparing background and meeting materials, handling organizational and logistical tasks, agenda setting, and note-taking
Identify potential participants and speakers, maintain database, handle registration, and communication with participants, including travel arrangements
Support consistent communications with networks of stakeholders including policymakers, corporations, civil society, and international organizations
Conduct research and writing including contributing to background briefs, meeting reports, and articles
Assist in writing proposals and grant reports for submission to donors
Ensure timely and effective implementation and coordination of program activities
Provide operational and administrative support for the program and assist with other assignments and special projects as requested
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in international relations, international development, political science, public policy, economics, history, or related field
Professional language fluency in Spanish
Residency in the Washington D.C. area or an ability to relocate, as well as eligibility to work in the United States
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English, including interpersonal skills, and ability to effectively collaborate with a variety of stakeholders and teams
Minimum of four years related work experience with prior experience in project management, events, and program support
Excellent project management skills with an ability to quickly learn and understand new processes. Experience with meeting and event planning
Proven organizational skills and a strong attention to detail, as well as problem-solving skills and a proactive work style
Compensation and Benefits:
ORF America offers a competitive compensation package commensurate with experience. The salary range for this role is $55,000-$65,000.
