Karan Bhasin is Non-Resident Fellow at ORF America. He is an accomplished economist with a keen interest in macroeconomics and applied econometrics. Currently, he is pursuing a PhD in Quantitative Economics and Econometrics at the University at Albany, State University of New York. His research focuses on understanding how economic agents process information and update their expectations.

Karan’s work spans various critical areas, including housing markets and affordability, India-China economic convergence, and the interaction between poverty and fiscal policies.

In addition to his academic pursuits, Karan has held positions at institutions such as the International Monetary Fund, World Bank, Empire State Development (New York State), and MyGov, Government of India.
