Clean Energy Transitions in the Global South: IBSA+Indonesia Beyond 2025
IBSA+Indonesia holds great potential as a grouping due to its G20 leadership and its wider political acceptance, which enables it to continue to ensure that the priorities of the Global South remain a part of the agenda in Latin America, South Asia, Southeast Asia, and Africa.
ORF America’s IBSA+Indonesia Clean Energy Transitions initiative focuses on progress towards net zero goals, activating climate finance, and climate technology cooperation between Indonesia, India, Brazil, and South Africa (IBSA). Multilateral and bilateral cooperation between these countries on climate finance and clean energy technologies can also foster better practices, leverage strengths, and identify common challenges in dealing with existing global economic structures, both within the G20 and beyond.
